Old Schoolhouse

Take another step into the past in our restored one room school house.  It was in schoolhouses like this that the children of past rural America learned to read, write, and do arithmetic.  All grades were taught at these schools so children of all ages participated in the classes.  It was certainly a different world from the age of consolidated schools we have today.

Crafts!

At Camp Creek you'll also want to stop by our large craft building.  Here you can see many unique items and even see them being made.  You might even find that special item that you want to take home with you.  You can also stop by the antique popcorn machine and grab a mid-day snack.

Blacksmiths!

Another very interesting exhibit to see is the blacksmith exhibit.  Who isn't fascinated by the combination of fire, iron, and the skilled blow of the hammer that results in such unique creations?  Modern manufacturing may have rendered this skill obsolete years ago but it survives today as a true art form.  You can see the artisans of this skill from the past make their creations right before your eyes!
