Welcome to the

Camp Creek Threshers Photo Tour

In these pages we hope to give you a little better idea of the kinds of things you can see and do at the Camp Creek Threshers show.  The show is a great way to experience part of the past and see it come to life.  You can see the machines and skills of a different age that helped our country develop into what it is today and participate in activities that everyone in the family can enjoy!

Threshing!

What show would be complete without a good old-fashioned threshing demonstration?  From the 1800's to the early 1900's this was the way that the grain was harvested from the plant.  An outfit would consist of a threshing machine and a separate tractor to power it.  Wheat, oats, and other crops were fed into the threshing machine by hand and pitchfork where the grain was separated from the rest of the plant.  At Camp Creek you can see up to three or four machines running simultaneously several times a day!  Power is supplied by good old steam engines or gas tractors.  If threshing is what you like, then Camp Creek is the place to be.  It has been said that our show...

"...threshes more grain in a single afternoon than most shows do in an entire weekend!"
