HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE 2009 33rd ANNIVERSARY SUMMER SHOW!

For 2009 we had a beautiful weekend for weather and a fantastic time was had by all!  There was an excellent turnout of exhibitors, and several new features and exhibits made their debut.  New to the grounds were a tractor Teetor-Totter, Prony Brake (for horsepower testing on the belt or PTO), new Information Building, Honey Bee Exhibit, and the usual wide variety of demonstrations and activities.  A special Thanks goes out to everyone who helped to make the 2009 show a great success!

Do you think you're good at handling your tractor?  Just try making it balance on the new Teetor-Totter!
Horsepower testing on the new Prony Brake!  This device works by measuring the RPM of the engine and the force generated on a scale, allowing the Horsepower produced to be calculated.
Also new to the show in 2009 was a Honey Bee exhibit.  Here you could see the bee's working in the hive, sample honey, and talk with a real Bee Keeper!
Another interesting exhibit was the Hay Trolleys, courtesy of the Lewis and Clark Pulley Museum.  Shown here is small sample of well over 400 different styles and brands sold for handling hay in barns.
Also making an appearance at the show was "The Goose Man" with his trained and individually dressed geese - a real treat for kids of all ages!
The featured equipment lines had a great turnout too with several steam tractors, and a variety of Prairie gas tractors being exhibited including Aultman-Taylor, Rumely, Avery, etc.

Thanks to everyone who exhibited in the feature!
If you're going to come to the show, be sure to come early for the Kiwanis Pancakes!
The flea market is always great to find unique items or collectibles.  Thanks to all of the vendors who participated!
Most of all we'd like to thank all of our guests for coming and supporting the show, and we hope you'll join us again next year!
